Sea Bags

As an Art Director at Sea Bags, my main goals were to better establish the brand’s visual identity, set design standards, establish creative processes and begin to update the Sea Bags e-commerce site. I played a key role in improving the brand’s photography style as an art director, photographer and photo editor. This work helped set a strong foundation for Sea Bags as they continue growing and evolving as a brand.

Email Marketing

One of the key deliverables for Sea Bags was their marketing emails. We took a look at improving the content strategy, audience targeting and overall design standard for these emails. I also helped put in place a process where the design team regularly shared inspiration from other brands, new design explores, etc. to ensure we were always creating exciting and fresh email designs.

Photography

At Sea Bags we did all of our studio and lifestyle photography in-house. As the Art Director, I was responsible for creating an overall aesthetic, process and standard for the Sea Bags photography. I also planned all of the photoshoots including the development of moodboards, styling, location scouting, model casting, etc. I helped execute the photoshoots with shooting some of the photography myself, both in-studio and on-model.

Web Design

Another main priority for the design team at Sea Bags was to update and improve the e-commerce website to better reflect the elevated visual standards and enhance the overall customer experience. Below are examples of a portion of this work including a navigation redesign, new Sail Trade landing page design and a proposal to redesign and restructure the site’s main homepage.
